Murder Charges Laid Against Brady Gagnon In Easter Long Weekend Shooting In Aroland First Nation, Ontario –

Sources say Brady Gagnon, is now charged with murder in the death of Hunter Gagnon of Aroland First Nation in a shooting massacre that had taken place on Easter long weekend in the community of Aroland First Nation, Ontario a Oji-cree community located Northeast of Thunder Bay Ontario.

The investigation is ongoing with members of the Greenstone Crime Unit, NAPS, OPP Forensic Identification Unit (FIU) and OPP Provincial Liaison Team (PLT), and the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.

On April 19, 2019 at approximately 1 a.m., members of the Greenstone Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of an altercation at the POW WOW Grounds in the community of Aroland First Nation involving a firearm.

OPP and Nishnawbe-Aski (NAPS) officers attended the scene and located a seriously injured male. Nakina Emergency Medical Services (EMS) attended and pronounced the victim deceased. Police located a second male at the scene and placed him under arrest without incident.

The investigation is ongoing with members of the Greenstone Crime Unit, NAPS, OPP Forensic Identification Unit (FIU) and OPP Provincial Liaison Team (PLT), under the direction of Detective Inspector Mary Shannon, OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.

Twenty one year old Brady GAGNON of Aroland First Nation, Ontario has been charged with:
* First Degree Murder contrary to section 235(1) of the Criminal Code.

Sources have indicated that Brady Gagnon is accused of killing his cousin Hunter Gagnon. A gunshot to the stomach area is what we have been told.

A murder charge in Canada means an automatic detention order is issued so GAGNON doesn’t have an entitlement to a bail hearing. The next step will be to submit a bail review in front of a Superior Court of Justice.

BRADY GAGNON REMAINS IN CUSTODY AT THE THUNDER BAY JAIL.
